Maria Dusinska is research professor (DSc.); she is senior scientist and director of GLP laboratory at NILU-Norwegian Institute for Air Research. Before coming to NILU she worked at Slovak Medical University as Head of Department of Experimental and Applied Genetics. Her research is focussed on hazard characterisation, basic mechanisms leading to genotoxicity as well as on risk assessment and risk governance of engineered nanomaterials. She coordinates large EU H2020 project RiskGONE and coordinated FP7 project NanoTEST. She has been involved in several EU-funded projects on nanosafety in FP7 (NanoImpactNet, QNano, NANoREG, NanoTOES, NanOMEGA) and H2020 (Nanoreg2, HISENTS, NanoSolveIT, SABYDOMA, VISION). She is a members of Scientific committee for consumer safety (SCCS) and member of EFSA Cross-cutting working group on genotoxicity and editor of scientific journals F&CHT, Basic Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Environmental research, Mutation Research, Nanomaterials and Frontiers in Toxicology.
